Workshops

led by Organic Theatre founders Bianca Mastrominico and John Dean

Our training and educational activities are based on our practice and research, but above all they come from our experience as teachers and workshop leaders, both in the UK and in Europe.

John has taught extensively, leading sessions and organising workshops nationally (Royal National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Rose Bruford College amongst others), and internationally (Accademia D’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’Amico, Rome, Institut del Teatre, Barcelona).

Bianca has led workshops at Institut del Teatre, Barcelona, for the Multicultural Space project in Aarhus, Denmark, in theatres and many educational institutions throughout Italy and the UK.

All workshops are for practitioners who want to challenge and refresh their skills or experiment new paths in their artistic work, as well as for non-professional performers who want to explore and acquire confidence and a deeper knowledge of their individual creative processes. Click on the following to find out more.

• The Mask Character workshop explores the comic half mask in performance, looking at both original and Commedia dell’Arte inspired characters.

• Writing Within the Actor workshop explores how the exchange between writing and improvisation can be a creative training and source of inspiration for performers.
